   I ordered SEO Fitness Workbook 3 days ago.I also purchased the digital version which I got immediately. On the day I finished the digital version, the hard copy arrived. This book was written very well for people like me, a neophyte. Jason obviously understands the perplexing concepts of SEO and he breaks it down to the level of a 6th grader. I have many books on the subject and most of them left me with more questions that had no answers. Aside from a well written book, Dr. McDonald makes himself available to answer questions. I emailed him a question late at night and got my answer (clearly explained) within an hour! I thought to myself,”was he waiting for me to ask a question?” Look! If you are searching for the bible of SEO, Here It Is

   This book is a great resource for the small business person. A lot of business manuals get so bogged down in tech speak that it goes right over the head of someone not tech savvy (I am or of those people). This book gets down to my level and breaks down SEO optimization into steps I can easily follow and understand.

   This book is thorough, but succinct. However, I have one caveat. The author gives assignments along the way, so to get the biggest benefit from the book I highly recommend doing the work alongside the author. If you intend to just read the book and not do the work, I think you miss out on the full benefit of the author’s knowledge. This book is very much like a college class, you get out what you put in.

   The screenshots are wonderful tools to follow along with and make sure I am on the right track. The kindle version also has links to follow, something that might be lost in book format.

   I took Jason’s continuing studies class at my university and found that the book covered nearly everything we went over in class. On top of that, Jason links to YouTube video’s that explain exactly what we need to know to excel in SEO. Every year his book changes to adapt to the current Google/Bing/Other Search Engine’s SEO guidelines, even the hidden ones. Google doesn’t want you to know what they have up their sleeves. Unfortunately for them, Jason does.

   I’ve read countless books on SEO and none of them compare to this book. Quite frankly, this is most likely the only book you’ll need. Plus, the electronic version takes you directly to the links that he puts in his book.

   I like print versions of books so that I can mark them up, but the electronic version is worth getting, especially if you read your Kindle books on your iPad. And, as of writing this review, this book in on Kindle Unlimited so I have both the print version and the Kindle Unlimited version.

   This is a book I’ll be referring to frequently for the next year and I’ll be purchasing the 2019 edition.

   Good overview for creating a website and marketing it to the mainstream from scratch. I’ve been building websites for 5ish years with multiple top 3 rankings for relevant search results and even I picked up on a few tricks I’ll be trying soon.

   If you have no idea how to get your business online, this is the place the start learning

   I’ve been content writing for a long time. But, as a freelancer most often I work in a vacuum. I would land work, do a good job and send it along. Good enough.

   But….

   I never had the confidence to really sell myself as an SEO marketing writer. Reason being is unless you get clear cut info on what’s in the SEO soup, you think it’s black magic. I had long considered myself an apprentice and would go hat in hand asking for work.

   Read Jason’s book and found out I’m more of a wizard than I give myself credit for, and I’ll bet I’m not alone.

   If you’re a freelance SEO content writer and you want to know how to position your skill set in the digital marketing arena, read this book. It won’t make you a better writer, it’s not about that. But if you’re good and have some chops Jason’s book can be a capstone to your skill set.

   This book is awesome for small business owners too. I have been in shops where owners are inundated with marketing calls for SEO marketing services. If that’s you too, even if you don’t want to do all this work yourself, read this book. It is a great behind the curtain look at what it takes, and how, to pull the marketing levers in the land of digital marketing OZ. Handy stuff to have.

   This is the perfect resource for people at all stages of the SEO learning process, wether you are a total beginner or just in need of a brush up on skills. I really appreciated how approachable and easy to understand the materials were. I was also really thankful for all of the external resources and downloadable worksheets that were included inside of this workbook. It really felt like I was taking the equivalent of a class with the amount of teaching and resources provided. If you are on the fence, get it!

   I have purchased several of Dr. McDonald’s books. I find them to be easy to understand. You do not have to be a coding expert to understand and benefit from his books. They flow of the books is a natural progression of the information you need.
